华文至善美，东西尽欢颜。这个暑假，大堪城北部的孩子们，也有机会接触到专业而有趣的汉语语言和文化熏陶了。2023年6月12日到23日之间，我们为学龄从幼儿园到小学的汉语爱好者，提供两周的沉浸式中文夏令营。您可任选一周，也可多选两周。
孩子们每天将有六个半小时的时间学习汉语并进行语言实践。上午是半沉浸式的汉语和文化课程，涉及中国历史、地理、文字、神话传说、美食、茶艺、功夫、等很多即学即用的实用语言和知识；下午是丰富多彩的文化课体验，包括包饺子、临书法、学国画、剪纸样、用算盘、练武术、听民乐、做手工等等。
我们的老师有着丰富的汉语教学经验，业务精良、工作热情。

Little Dragon Summer Camp is for K – 4th graders to learn the Chinese language and culture from June 12 – 23, 2023. All classes will be conducted in an immersion setting using a variety of authentic materials with ample opportunities for communication via a meaningful use of vocabulary, phrases, and sentences in real-life contexts. Theme-based cultural seminars, music demonstrations, games and competitions, and hands-on activities will further enrich the learning experience for all learners.
Program:
Immersion-based, language-intensive, and culturally-focused curriculum
Language lessons and hands-on activities combined, such as Chinese cooking, folk-art, calligraphy, painting, paper-cutting, abacus, martial arts, singing & dancing, & crafts
Making friends and having fun
Date & Time: (choose any one or both):
Week 1 subtopics (June 12 – 16, 2023, 8:30 am – 3 pm):
1) Greeting in Chinese, the cultural appropriate way
2) Family titles & relationships
3) Geography & history of China
4) Historical sites and sightseeing spots in China
5) How to tell locations/directions of cities
6) What to eat in China?
Week 2 subtopics (June 19 – 23, 2023, 8:30 – 3 pm):
7) How much is it?
8) What date is today?
9) What time is it now?
10) What is the weather next week?
11) What to wear?
12) Modes of transportation
Location:
Northland Christian School (10500 N Arrowhead Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64155)
Cost:
$250/week for the first child, $240/week for the second child, the third and more children in the same household
Lunch & Snacks:
Students bring self-packed lunch. Snacks will be included with the tuition.
Cancellation Policy:
No refunds or credits 72 hours prior to the start of the first class due to limited class size and availability.
*camp will be canceled with fewer than 8 participants.
